Catch Up

I have been at work on a couple of different projects. I am in Dawn DeVries Sokol's 1231 Art Journal class again this year. Making journals to get us through the end of the year. Here are two sets of the collaged and painted covers. A small one in blue: And a bigger one in green:
Binding is actually done on them and next come the signatures...
I also wanted to show you how the big crayon paper piece is going.

Golden beads:
and some blue seed bead filler:
A different kind of bead filler pattern:
I have a great little fringe going - I will have to get some process photos to show you.
Hey, I have a question: I want to try using corporate publishing (rather than self publishing) for my next craft how-to book. Does anyone out there have information on how to find an agent? I will appreciate any suggestions on how to cull the Google possibilities.
Thanks.

Finding an agent who will find you a publisher actually, IMO, puts you one step farther away from finding a publisher. I suggest blasting ahead with your plans for a new book by seeking a publisher yourself. Once your book proposal and sample pages are ready, send them out to your top ten choices for book publishers. This works for me.

And I want you to know that I recommend YOU as an amazing artist and resource (specifically the multiplcation table) in my book, Free Range Learning: How Homeschooling Changes Everything.

Thanks for all you do. I can't help but be inspired by your work.

Laura, thank you for such a lovely comment. And thank you for the advice about agents. Helpful, really helpful. I feel like I have been "on vacation" as I transition from my studio life back to working from home. I have the last of my show committments this coming week, then a couple of family things - including welcoming the new Lunar.Asian year in - and then I am down to bookwriting! Yay.
